Italian Piedmontese Neoclassical Carved and Gilded Mirror
A beautifully carved Italian Piedmontese neoclassical Louis XVI giltwood and painted mirror. The original rectangular mirror plate is framed within a finely carved giltwood border with a lovely beaded design. The crest surmounted by a rectangular medallion carved with a cornucopia motif below an urn as a finial showing great depth, with swags of garland and carved flowers and bead motif, the base with carved rosettes on either end and a central carved swag of scalloped motif.
