Tommaso Barbi Brass and Burl Wood Backgammon Coffee Table, Italy 1960's
An exquisitely designed backgammon table by Tommaso Barbi, Italy, 1960`s. The burled wood frame and board sit in a lacquered brass frame with angled brass legs. The table includes a full set of backgammon pieces, (chrome and wood and brass and wood) and a burl wood die with brass cast numerals. There are two smoked glass panels, which allow for the covering of the board and the table's use as a coffee table. (possibly later) This is an absolutely fantastic table and very rare piece, both a beautiful and elegant piece to look at as well as to enjoy playing! With its original paper labels on the underside.
By Tommaso Barbi Italy, circa 1960
Size: 16 1/2" high x 39 3/4" wide x 27 1/2" deep
